About Us:

We’re Ian and Christina. We’re wedding photographers based in Calderdale in Yorkshire.

When we’re not running a photography business we’re spending time with our beautiful daughter.

Ian

I love the excitement of a wedding day. It’s a privilege to be present at one of the most emotional times in someone’s life. It’s always different, it’s always fun and it’s always moving.

I enjoy getting to know people and having a laugh with them.

It’s great to be able to talk to a people at the start of their wedding planning process, and then keep in touch until the big day and beyond.

I also like playing about with gear and I look after the technical stuff like making sure that your images are backed up and safe!

Christina

As well as photography, I love designing albums. It’s a lot of fun combining the images from the day into something beautiful that people will enjoy for years.

I enjoy keeping in touch with people before and after the event, to make sure they’re happy with how everything is progressing, and they are feeling relaxed and well-informed.

Frequently Asked Questions:

I went to a wedding and the photographer was pretty stressy. Are you like that?

No, we're both very relaxed and we'll just blend into your day.

We'll have a laugh with you and your partner. Plus, your guests won't really notice that we're quietly doing our thing.

I have some non-traditional things planned. Will that freak you out?

Nope!

Every wedding is different and unique.

We love helping people to achieve the day they want, whatever you've got planned!

Do you take candid photos or posed?

We spend the majority of the day catching the little candid moments that would otherwise be gone forever.

But we're happy to look after the "family group" photos if you want them.

And if your guests ask us for posed photos then we’re happy to oblige.

Plus, we’re not fazed by a whole-wedding shot (if you want one.)

We can take some portrait photos of the two of you. It can be a quick diversion from your day to grab a few romantic shots somewhere at your venue.

We’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves to make sure you’re relaxed (if you’re not used to having your photo taken!)

Can our family and friends take pictures?

Of course! We will always do our stuff unobtrusively and work around your guests.

Do you always work together?

You can decide if you want to book one photographer or two.

With two photographers we can be at different locations for "getting-ready" photos during the early part of the day.

And with two photographers you'll also get more coverage of the rest of the day.

But if you’d prefer just one of us, possibly for a more intimate wedding, then we have a package for that as well.

Do you edit the photos?

We take the time to work on every image individually.

We make that sure each one has the correct work done for that specific image.

But also that it's cropped, exposed, colour-corrected and tweaked to give a consistent look for the rest of your collection.

Are you insured?

Yes we are insured through Aaduki. We can provide copies to your venue if we’ve not worked there before.

How long does it take before our images are ready?

We send you a small number of pictures the day after your wedding. Then you've got something to share straight away!

Then your full collection is normally available to view within 3-4 weeks of your wedding. At busy periods we allow up to 6 weeks.

They will all be high resolution images, with no watermarks.

For your album, we will ask you to pick a set number of favourites from your collection.

We'll then create an initial design to give you an idea of options for layout and style. Then you can change as much or as little as you like.

Then from your final approval it normally takes two weeks to order, check and send on to you.

What gear do you bring?

We bring multiple cameras and lenses to cover all kinds of conditions.

We also bring flashes for awesome dancefloor shots (but you don't really notice them amongst the disco lights!)

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes! It’s a fun and relaxed way for us to get to know each other. You can see how we work, while we have a laugh and take some pictures.

We may be able to offer you a free engagement shoot.

There’s no commitment to book and you’ll receive the high resolution images from the shoot. It’s a fun way to spend an hour and gives you a chance to decide if we’re right for you.

Most people who do the free engagement shoot go on to book with us though!
